Masato Otsubo is currently the Executive Director of OCAJI since 2015. In OCAJI, Masato Otsubo is involved in many diverse businesses, particularly in the areas below:
・Improvement of overseas business operations for construction companies
・Information gathering and analysis through international interactions
・Sending and accepting overseas research teams
・Holding seminars and training workshops both in and outside Japan
As OCAJI has been actively interacting with international organizations and construction groups in other countries in order to promote cooperation and mutual understanding with those countries through the construction industries, it is important for OCJIA to be a member of IFAMPCA.
Masato Otsubo was born in Kagoshima, Kyushu. After graduating from The Department of Civil Engineering in Kyushu University, he started working at Kajima Corporation. During his 39 years in Kajima, Mr. Otsubo spent 33 years working on the overseas projects and gained many diverse experiences. He was in charge of projects in Singapore, Sri Lanka, Chile, Algeria, The Philippines, Ghana, Zambia and Zimbabwe etc,. One of the highlights in his long career was the construction of Marcelo B. Fernan Bridge between Cebu Island and Mactan Island. Upon his retirement in 2015 from Kajima Corporation, he joined OCAJI as Executive Director.
